The legal commission on appointments and immunities did not endorse the draft decision whereby the Communist lawmakers asked dismissing Marian Lupu from the post of Head of Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The informative note to the draft decision says that Marian Lupu must be dismissed because in the December 16 elections he obliged the MPs to show how the voted and now refuses to initiate the procedure for dissolving Parliament.
The commission’ head Victor Popa said the legislative body works legally and the Constitutional Court confirmed this, while the Communist MPs’ initiative is groundless. “This draft decision will be submitted to Parliament to rejection,” he stated.
The Communist lawmakers did not attend the commission’s meeting. They boycott the sittings of Parliament and the meetings of the parliamentary commissions, arguing the current legislature is illegitimate.
