Lectures on involving community in decision-making

About one hundred representatives of local public administrations from Moldova got acquainted with the principles and mechanisms of involving the community in the decision-making process. The participants have identified the key problems of communities and worked out projects on informing the public at all the stages of the decision-making process. The series of seminars was organized in February and March by the Acces-info Center, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a release of the organization, the representatives of the local public administration have moderated consultative round tables, meetings with citizens, hearings and public debates. The trainees discussed opportunities and procedures of establishing viable partnerships with non-governmental organizations and with interested factors. From April to July, this year, the Acces-info Center will hold another cycle of seminars for local councils to train them to draft quality decisions.
