The electoral bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca” filed the documents needed to be registered and to take part in the June 14 local elections to the Central Election Commission (CEC), IPN reports.
According to a press release of the bloc, the list of candidates will be compiled soon, based on the suggestions of the people from local communities. The candidates will be selected after the representatives of the bloc go from village to village to discuss with the people. There will also be analyzed the people’s proposals submitted on http://ppe.md/primarultau/, through the phone number 078781000 or on echipa@ppe.md.
“We will be present all over the country with new candidates who didn’t held high-ranking posts and with candidates who were present on the lists of other parties, including colleagues who remained devoted to the European values and want to continue what we started together. I invite all the citizens of Moldova, either our supporters or not, to designate their own candidates for the posts of mayor,” Iurie Leanca said in a news conference where the creation of the electoral bloc was announced.
The electoral bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca” consists of the former Premier’s European People’s Party of Moldova, the “Democratic Action” Party headed by Mihai Godea, the Liberal Reformist Party led by Ion Hadarca, and the Party “Democracy at Home” headed by Vasile Costiuc.
