The League of Young Greens of the Ecologist Green Party of Moldova has announced a contest of essays themed “A Clean Person – a Clean Government”. According to the party’s chairman Anatolie Prohnitski, the people in Moldova need civic education, and this contest can serve as a model for asserting oneself, IPN reports.
“The contest’s theme derives from the ideology of the Green Party and the doctrine of the European greens who plead for correct policy and cleanness in the political process,” Anatolie Prohnitski said in a news conference. According to him, during the last few years the people have been influenced by other opinions and do not have where to state their own opinions, while this contest is like an opportunity for this.
“By the contest of essays, we want to offer the people the possibility of stating their opinions on the political lie persisting in Moldova,” said the leader of the League of Young Greens Alexandru Donea. According to him, the idea of the contest appeared as a result of an international contest of the ecologist Greens. “Unfortunately, we often meet with lies in the Moldovan politics. The politicians do not fulfill their promises. The political lie manages the country,” he stated.
Oxana Chiperceanu, a member of the League of Young Greens, said the contest is open to all those who have what to say. “This contest offers the possibility of expressing one’s opinion on such topics as the lie and demagogy in politics, electoral promises and other election-related subjects,” she said.
The essays can be sent to the party’s email address (pve.moldova@mail.ru). The contest will last from April 15 until May 15, 2013. The jury will be composed of a group of political analysts and experts. The first ten winners will be awarded diplomas, invitations to the theater and other prizes.
