The leaders of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists, Vladimir Voronin and Igor Dodon, in the evening of August 11 had a meeting with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak, the Russian President’s Special Representative for the development of trade and economic relations with Moldova, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Party of Socialists.

Without offering too many details, the Socialists said the discussions centered on the Moldovan-Russian bilateral relations, starting from the experience and important contribution to developing them made by the two former Presidents of the Republic of Moldova, who extended the strategic partnership with the Russian Federation.

During his short visit to Chisinau yesterday evening, Dmitry Kozak met with the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu. The Russian official said the discussion was constructive and warm, while Maia Sandu noted the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation are ready to broadly discuss an agenda full of issues of interest to the states and the citizens of the two countries, including by intensifying bilateral contacts.
