Aaron Cook, who won bronze at the World Championships, and brothers Stepan and Vadim Dimitrov didn’t compete in the National Taekwondo Championships that took place at the State University of Physical Education and Sport in Chisinau last weekend, IPN reports.
The three will compete in the London Grand Prix this weekend. In their absence, the senior championships were won by: Stanislav Lutac (54 kg), Serghei Uscov (58 kg), Cristin Cilibiu (63 kg), Nichita Ursu (68 kg), Andrei Lungu (74 kg), Fiodor Puiu (80 kg), Alexandr Lupu (87 kg) and Valentin Cilibiu (plus 87 kg).
The winners in the women’s competition are: Mihaela Ermicioi (46 kg), Valentina Popa (49 kg), Ecaterina Mihaila (53 kg), Dorina Moraru (57 kg), Tatiana Pasat (62 kg), Marina Caraman (67 kg) and Ana Condrea (73 kg).
