Laying out of model yard to finish in two weeks

The works to lay out a yard of an apartment building situated in Chisinau’s Buiucani district, which started early in August, were 70% performed. During a visit to Alba-Iulia St on Tuesday, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the works will be completed in about two weeks, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The works are carried out within the City Hall’s program to lay out yards of apartment buildings. They include setting up playgrounds and parking lots, cleaning the trees and restoring public lighting and even executing repair works inside the buildings. We want to show the prospects of developing the municipality in this field,” said the mayor. According to Dorin Chirtoaca, this autumn there will be laid out another five yards located in all the districts of Chisinau. Next year, the works will be resumed. “Effort is made to do something for the people and the city. The investments will rise to several hundreds of thousands of lei. We want these projects to create a minimum of comfort,” said the mayor. Most of the dwellers of the building situated on Alba Iulia St said they are satisfied with the performed works. Some persons yet consider that the parking lot that is being built will be for money in the future. The mayor assured that the lot will be free for the dwellers. When the project was lunched a month ago, Dorin Chirtoaca said it was a continuation of the program within which there were built up playgrounds starting with 2008. On September 5, Communist lawmakers Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanyi launched the charity foundation “Solution”, which is set to continue laying out the quarters and to provide financial support to underprivileged groups.
