A lawyer will be judged for influence peddling. He is accused by the prosecutors of having extorted a sum of $300 from a person, going deliberately beyond his duty, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect would have told his client he could influence the prosecutors and judges, who were considering her nephew’s case and that he was able to get them charge a milder punishment. The lawyer also drew the client’s attention that if she offered $1,000 more, then he would have made the higher court’s judges acquit her nephew. And the same price would have also included “the service of influencing” the policemen from Edinet town not to criminally pursue him in future. The lawyer was arrested immediately after receiving the sum of $900 in his office.
