The MPs will show irresponsibility if they do not examine the bill on pensions and salaries by the end of this legislature, said the leader of the European Action Movement (MAE) Veaceslav Untila, who drafted the bill. The statement comes after most of the lawmakers of the Alliance for European Integration voted against including the bill in the agenda of the last hearing.
In a statement, the MAE says the law on pensions and salaries is important for 200,000 people who signed in support of the bill. “We warn our colleagues from the governing alliance that the legislative priorities must coincide with the real priorities of society. If the legislative body puts the political interests at the top of its priorities, the worst fears of the people will come true,” said MP Veaceslav Untila.
The bill on pensions and salaries provides for the increase of the minimum incomes in economy up to the minimum subsistence level in stages, starting with 2011. It was submitted to Parliament on May 24.
