Lawmakers make their property public

The MPs published their income statements on the Parliament’s website. The Liberal-Democrat Valeriu Strelet declared the largest incomes among the party leaders and leaders of parliamentary groups, IPN reports.

The leader of the Liberal-Democratic faction Valeriu Strelet last year earned over 148,000 lei as salary, while his wife Aurelia Braguta earned over 36,000 lei as salary by working as a university lecturer and 124,000 lei by working as a manger within a project. Valeriu Strelet also declared incomes of over 4 million lei representing dividends from FPC Bioprotect SRL. He also sold two cars – a Mitsubishi and a Toyota, both made in 2008, for 272,000 lei. He bought two newer cars, made in 2012 – an Audi Q5 and a VW Tuoareg, paying 1.625 million for both of them. Valeriu Strelet also owns several plots of land to the value of 349,000 lei, two apartments in Chisinau and a house of over 2 million lei. He has bank accounts with €7,000 and about 60,000 lei in them.

Head of Parliament Marian Lupu, who is the leader of the PDM, declared salary incomes of over 171,000. His wife’s salary incomes totaled 40,000 lei. They own an apartment in Chisinau of 136 square meters to the value of 1.222 million and a garage.

The leader of the Democratic faction Dumitru Diacov earned over 142,000 lei as salary. His wife has a plot in Chisinau to the value of over 382,000 lei. They also own an apartment in Moscow of 69.1 square meters and a BMW made in 2007. Tatiana Diacov is the owner of the paper “Novoe Vremea”.

The chairman of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin last year earned over 100,000 lei as salary and about 95,000 lei as pension. He owns plots in Corjova, Dubasari, Pirita and Budesti. In Chisinau, Vladimir Voronin has an apartment of 232 square meters valued at 1.884 million lei. He also owns two houses in Corjova and Pirita to the total value of 210,000 lei and shares of over 5 million lei in Banca de Finante si Comert.

The head of the Communist faction Maria Postoico earned over 122,000 lei as salary and over 98,000 lei as pension. Her husband had a pension of over 31,000 lei. The MP owns several agricultural lands in Hancesti and Buteni to the value of over 6,000 lei, two apartments in Chisinau, and a shareholding in a factory of chemical products for household use.

The chairman of the PL Mihai Ghimpu declared incomes of over 127,000 lei, while his wife of over 95,000 lei. The MP received over 315,000 lei as dividends from SRL Eurosim and a prize of over 2,000 lei from the Theater Union. Mihai Ghimpu has an apartment of 63 square meters and a Mercedes made in 2005, to the value of 115,000 lei.

The head of the Liberal faction Ion Hadirca declared incomes of over 140,000 lei as salary and of over 42,000 lei as dividends from IS Editorial-Poligrafica “Stiinta”.

Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat, who heads the PLDM, hasn’t yet published his income statement on the Government’s official website.
