Every MP will be helped in their work by an assistant paid from the state budget. A relevant bill was passed in the February 10 sitting of Parliament by the vote of 55 lawmakers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Communist parliamentary group voted against, arguing the measure implies additional costs.
Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said that if the expenditure estimate is restructured, it will be possible to remunerate the assistants in the same way as the MPs.
In the same sitting, it was decided to replace the phrase “the Parliament’s apparatus” with “the Parliament’s secretariat”.
