Law-enforcers to be tested by lie detector

Employees of law-enforcing bodies will be subjected to lie detecting tests, as the Parliament passed the Law on testing simulated behavior on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The people employed by the Interior Ministry, the Service of Information and Security and the Customs Service will be tested. Plus: the functionaries dealing with classified information, detectives and the labor inspectors. The law allows manager to test for lies their employees, but this testing shall be benevolent and will be performed only with the written agreement of the employee. The results of polygraph tests may not be used in wording an accusation or as evidence in courts and cannot be as the only reason not to hire or to fire someone. The authors of the bill started in 2006 eye not to admit and not not promote dishonest or corrupt people harming the image of the state and of the services mentioned. Later in November, President Vladimir Voronin voiced to make compulsory polygraph tests for anti-corruption police officers and other police employees.
