22 plots of land in Chisinau's Botanica sector have been abusively occupied by veterans in the Afghanistan war. Praetor Vladimir Guritenco has communicated the information at Monday's sitting of the City Hall. According to the district head, the police and prosecutors are searching the case. Asked by Info-Prim Neo, the inquest bodies have said they don't know what is the question about.
“Those people occupied those plots abusively, during several nights, and then started the constructions,” Vladimir Guritenco has said. Now the building is stopped, since the district office and the police and the prosecutors started an inquest into the issue, the praetor said.
The president of the Afghanistan War Veterans Union , Mihail Mocanu, has told Info-Prim Neo those people are not members of the union.
The agency's reporter's attempts to find more details about the issue have failed. The head of the Botanica prosecutor's office chancellery has said she cannot offer information unless she knows “the exit numer” of the file. The prosecutor on duty of the Botanica Procuratura, Aurelia Gutu, has said she knows nothing about the case.
The press office of the Interior Ministry, Ala Meleca, referred to the General Police Commissariat. The latter one's PR head, Ion Roscovan, has suggested the reporter to try the prosecutor's office.
