Law enforcement officers have carried out searches at the Chisinau International Airport and "Avia Invest", the company in charge of the airport management. The operation in in connection with three criminal cases on negligence resulting in breach of duty, maladministration and illegal crossing of the state border.
According to a press release of the Internal Protection and Anti-Corruption Service (SPIA) of the Ministry of the Interior, the mentioned cases refer to officers and people in managing positions at the Border Police General Inspectorate and Customs Service.
The officers conducting the search have seized incriminating evidence. No other details have been provided.
