The laureates of the national contest “Our language is a treasure” were offered as a present universal Romanian language dictionaries donated by the Government of Romania in an event held at the National Museum of Arts of Moldova on March 1, IPN reports.
“You, dear students and Romanian language teachers who guide the students to take an attitude to our language, to cultivate the way in which we speak it, are our hope of this nation,” said Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc.
Attending the event, Minister for Romanians Abroad Natalia-Elena Intotero stated the accomplishments in life are based on the positions of the elements of a triangle – student-family – school – ministry, respectively the government. She noted the Ministry she represents will continue to be a partner in the cultural activity performed in Moldova.
The “Our language is a treasure” contest is staged annually by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research to promote the literary Romanian language. The 2018 edition was extended to cover all the school education stages, being devoted to poet Iulian Filip. The contest included two sections: argumentative text and essay, and digital product, which is an original short film.
