The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs will be paying a working visit to Moldova on October 29-30, at the invitation of Deputy Prim Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, the two ministers will have a meeting to discuss the expectations of the Vilnius EaP Summit and Moldova’s European agenda, the priorities of the bilateral cooperation, methods of strengthening the economic cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
The Latvian official will meet with President Nicolae Timofti, Head of Parliament Igor Corman, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov. He will also have a meeting with representatives of the Latvian community in Moldova.
Natalia Gherman and Edgars Rinkēvičs will give a press briefing at the Foreign Ministry’s head office on October 29.
