Last days rains caused million lei damages in three districts of Moldova. According to the head of the Press Center of the Exceptional Situations Department, Alexandru Oprea, the showers together with the strong wind, on damaged May 30-31 few roofs and flooded partly some houses in Ungheni. On the whole, there in this district about 5,284,000 lei damages were registered. According to Oprea, in the Bolduresti village, Nisporeni, 160 hectares of corn, 26 hectares of sun-flower, 102 hectares of sugar bit, and 20 hectares of vine were compromised, also about 300 meters of road were destroyed. Only in this village the damages amount to 972,000 lei. In the Cioresti and Seliste villages of the same district, hail rain and whirlpool affected dozens of plantation hectares, damages being estimated, in Cioresti, to 255,000 lei and in Seliste – to 1,027,000 lei. At the same time, significant damages were registered in Parjolteni and Horodiste villages of the Calarasi district, where many plantations and vineyards were destroyed. Meteorologists note that the rains will continue on the territory of Moldova 5 days more.
