The holiday summer has officially started as the last bell rang today in all the schools across Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prospective graduates will have to visit the schools once in a while in the next couple of weeks to take their exams, but even so the last bell ceremony is an occasion for joy for final year students too. They are now entering a new stage, full of strivings and professional achievements. From now on, the graduates will have to think well about what they are going to do in their in lives and what occupation to choose, because in less than a month they'll be stepping into the university life. The first principal of the “Onisifor Ghibu” Lyceum, Taisia Panfilov, urged the youngsters to carry on and be brave. “I think your generation will be living in a much better period, for your are the true citizens of this country. I believe in your future”, said Taiasia Panfilov. She also asked the graduates not to forget the best years of their lives, not to forget their teachers who helped them become what they are now, and not to forget their 'spiritual cradle' – Onisifor Ghibu High. Attending the ceremony, the poet Iulian Filip has said it's a natural thing to boast when you manage to achieve good results through effort, and Onisifor Ghibu High does have reasons for self-praise. According to him, Onisifor Ghibu is one of the top lyceums in the capital which participates in the most competitions, festivals, and school contests on a variety of disciplines. The poet said he was pleasantly surprised especially by the performance of the school violin ensemble, folk dance and and dancesport bands, and by the achievements of all the students who obtained awards at municipal, national and international competitions. The Education General Department conferred a first degree diploma on the current principal of the lyceum, Maria Garstea, in recognition for her achievements in developing education and for extraordinary abilities in administrating a school that boasts numerous successes. The ceremony culminated with a mini-concert given by Onisifor Ghibu's artistic bands.
