Students of all the education institutions of the country on May 31, 2019 took part in a festive 2018-2019 school year closing ceremony. Dressed in holiday clothes and with flowers in their hands, the students, together with their parents and teachers, celebrated the last bell ring festivity with songs, dances and poetry recitals, IPN reports.
The last bell today rang also for the students of the Chisinau Theoretical Lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi”, which this year is graduated by 128 ninth graders and 102 twelfth graders. The Lyceum‘s principal Boris Volosatyi said this is the last festive hour of the school year of 2018-2019 when the institution celebrated 155 years of its founding and also an important event for all the Romanians – the 100th anniversary of the Great Union.
Boris Volosatyi noted this festivity marks the start of a big and nice vacation that is awaited by the largest part of the students, not yet by the ninth and twelfth graders who have to take exams. “I speak about the Baccalaureate exams and capacity evaluations and the life exam that does not follow a textbook or the curriculum,” he stated, adding this life exam represents the appropriate training received at home and at school.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc transmitted a congratulatory message on the occasion of the school year end. “I congratulate you on the academic effort that materialized into precious acquisitions, skills and aptitudes that you developed in cooperation with you mates and teachers. I’m convinced that this school year contributed considerably to your spiritual growth, motivating you to become responsible citizens of the Republic of Moldova, with respect for oneself and the others. I wish you a nice vacation alongside the close ones. Rest, but also do good things and read good books. In particular, I want to address the graduates of the primary, secondary and lyceum stages and to wish them good luck, perseverance confidence in the own forces and determination in the successful implementation of the own career project,” says the message.
