Last bell ring festivities held in all national schools

Students from all the schools of Moldova took part in the 2015-2016 school year end festivities on May 31. Dressed in holyday clothes and with flowers in their hands, the students, together with parents and teachers, celebrated the ‘last bell ring’ with recitals of music, dances and poetry, IPN reports.

Attending the festivity held at the Sports Boarding School of Chisinau, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said the 2015-2016 school year was a productive one, including for students from this institution. “Your achieved different results at curricula, extracurricular and sports events and are special at municipal level,” she stated, wishing the ninth and twelfth graders success in the exams.

The school’s director Maria Gabuja said that most of the students during the school year were involved in different school and sports activities. The best students received diplomas and money award in the festivity. “The school year end festivity this year is special for this year’s school leavers. The exams session is close and you will have to show what you learned during the school years. It is the most serious exam in the life of an adult and your future life depends a lot on this,” she stated.

Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca transmitted a message on the occasion of the end of the school year. He said that knowledge is actually the driving force for progress in a society. “Based on knowledge, we can build economic progress so as to achieve the European level of prosperity like in such countries as Germany, France, Sweden, and Finland. Only through generations of learned, sincere, correct and hardworking people will we be able to overcome the social problems and difficulties,” he said.

More than 80,000 children and about 12,000 teachers took part in the last bell ring festivities in the municipality of Chisinau.
