The salaries of employees of public health facilities will be indexed by 4.1% as of April 1. The decision approved by the Cabinet applies both to medical personnel and to ancillary and executive personnel, IPN reports.
The average monthly salary of a doctor from a national hospital will increase from 7,129 to 7,421 lei, while of a doctor from a district hospital from 6,263 lei to 6,520 lei.
After the indexation, the average salary of medical assistants in national hospitals will rise to 5,830 lei, while in district hospitals to 4,604 lei.
In the period after July 1, 2016, when the new mechanism for remunerating medical workers was approved, the salaries in the system rose by over 30% on average.
