A number of families from Climautii de Jos village of Soldanesti district risk remaining without homes owing to the massive landslides happening there. Officials of the Soldanesti Emergencies Section sound the alarm, IPN reports.
According to the local TV channel Impulstv, the residents of Climautii de Jos said the landslides advance by 1 meter a day and new fissures appeared in the ground after the recent heavy rain. The wave of mud also started to move towards the houses.
The head of the Soldanesti Emergencies Section Valeriu Burduja said that the landslides in Climautii de Jos have advanced by 10 meters during two weeks and are about 20 meters from the residential sector.
Earlier, a house that was in the risk area was covered by soil. The family was bought another house by the local and district administration.
