Lafarge Ciment to sponsor building Orhei – Rezina road

Lafarge – Ciment company will allocate 3 million euros to building the Orhei- Rezina portion of road R-20. An agreement in this respect has been signed by Constructions Minister Vladimir Baldovici and Frederic Aubet, the director general of the company, Thursday, Info –Prim Neo reports. “It's not for the first time that Lafarge-Ciment participates in social programs, important for Moldova. Repairing the road costs some 600 million lei. We hope this generous gesture will be followed by other big Moldovan companies. The Government road repairing program is very ambitious and costly,” Baldovici said. Frederic Aubet has said the Lafarge group carries out similar programs “of maximum importance for the community” in a number of countries. Those pursue building dwellings for the poor, environment protection programs. “We hope the money we offer will be spent transparently and will help to solve this priority issues for,” Frederic Aubet said. The Orhei – Rezina road segment is 46 km long.
