Labor Ministry extends automated system “Social Assistance”

The automated information system “Social Assistance” will be supplemented with a module for controlling frauds and errors in the social assistance system that will be used by the Social Inspectorate, managed by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry, the system will also contain such new modules as: accreditation of social service providers for the National Council for the Accreditation of Social Service Providers; module for monitoring persons with disabilities for the National Council for Determining Disability and Work Capacity; module for monitoring the services provided by local social assistance divisions.

The money welfare module will be supplemented with allowances set by the local public authorities, while the social services module will now also contain services for children in difficulty, victims and potential victims of violence, persons with disabilities, persons infected with HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, victims of trafficking in human beings, etc.

The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family plans to finish the development and to launch the extended system by this yearend.

The automated information system “Social Assistance” was put into operation last September and is used by all the community social assistants working at mayor’s offices and by all the local district and municipal social assistance divisions (about 1,500 users).
