A record number of ambulance calls to the street was recorded on April 30, on the eve of the World Labor Day. In most of the cases, the people fell sick after abusing alcohol, Evelina Rusu, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo. An unidentified man in his 50s, in an alcoholic coma, was taken to the hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma and the grazed nose. A 25-year-old man was rushed to Saint Trinity Hospital with a similar diagnosis, while a man aged 50 was admitted to the hospital for detox after he abused alcohol. A woman aged 83 went out of the house and forgot the way home. She fell and broke her wrist. A 44-year-old man took a large number of pills in order to kill himself, but regretted his act and called an ambulance. On Friday, April 30, the Chisinau ambulance teams dealt with 685 calls.
