The Green Ecologist Party of Moldova is deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine and considers that the use of the armed forces in resolving conflicts should be avoided. In a news conference at IPN, the party’s administration said the Kremlin authorities headed by Vladimir Putin have a behavior typical of the fascists, IPN reports.

“The party, alongside the whole civil society of Moldova that is oriented to the European values, expresses its deep concern about the latest developments in Ukraine and about the predictable unfavorable consequences that will be generated at the regional and continental levels,” said the leader of the Green Ecologist Party Anatolie Prohnitski. According to him, by militarily intervening in the internal affairs of Ukraine, Russia shows that it is the last barbarous empire in a world of dialogue and that its policy is based strictly on the manipulation of a population marked by chauvinist and imperialist ideological frustrations.

Anatolie Prohnitski considers that what happened in Moldova in 1992, in Georgia in 2008 and in Ukraine now is the effect of the policy conceived by Stalin, aimed at creating pro-Russian artificial states by transferring territories and peoples that are not connected by history and identity.

“The events in Ukraine show that if a country and the world community do not react immediately to the dangers posed by the Russian ethnical division and interference policy, this policy will destructively extend to the whole region,” said the party’s chairman. In order to prevent actions that can lead to the further destabilization of the situation in the region, the Greens urge immediately using all the international mechanisms for solving the crisis exclusively by diplomatic ways.

The head of the party’s National Council Andrei Dumbraveanu said the new Adolf from the Kremlin - President Vladimir Putin - accuses the pro-Europeans from Ukraine of fascism, but forgot that his predecessor Joseph Stalin pursued a fascist-like policy and went alongside Hitler to occupy Europe. “Putin starts a dangerous war that is for now cold, but that can become very hot,” he stated.

The party’s deputy chairman Sergiu Albu said that Ukraine has several nuclear stations and their protection may not be ensured in case of a war so that an ecological disaster similar to the Chernobyl one can occur. This can destroy the Black Sea basin that was already partially damaged.

Russia deployed military forces in Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula, arguing it wants to protect the Russian citizens living there.
