Tiraspol leader Vadim Krasnoselski accuses the authorities in Chisinau of hindering gas supplies to the Transnistrian region and asks President Maia Sandu to do everything possible "to let natural gas flow into Transnistria," IPN reports.

"As acting President of the Republic of Moldova, at the briefing on January 14, you loudly declared that Russian gas deliveries will not be prevented. [...] However, with the emergence of a real solution and a real supplier - a Moldovan company authorized to transport and supply gas - we are witnessing fierce resistance from Moldovan officials, who are doing everything to obstruct the realization of deliveries of a vital energy resource, in order to further aggravate the existing crisis," the Tiraspol leader writes on his Telegram channel.

Vadim Krasnoselski insists that Maia Sandu should do everything in her power to facilitate the transportation of gas to the Transnistrian region: "Dear Mrs. Sandu, I appeal to you as a responsible person and President of the Republic of Moldova, do everything in your power. Keep your word. Let the natural gas enter Transnistria".

On his return from the Russian Federation, the Tiraspol leader announced that Russian gas supplies to the Transnistrian region would be resumed in the form of humanitarian aid, but did not specify an exact date. Three days ago, President Maia Sandu said that if the Russian company resumed gas supplies, Chisinau would not oppose transit.
