Konrad Adenauer Foundation poll: Maia Sandu – 14.34%, Andrei Nastase – 12.96%

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Moldova made public the results of an opinion poll about the political situation in the Republic of Moldova, based on which the PPDA, PAS and PLDM were to choose the common candidate for the October 30 presidential elections, IPN reports.

88.58% of those polled said they would go to vote in the presidential elections. 32.97% would vote for Igor Dodon (PSRM), 14.34% for Maia Sandu (PAS), 12.96% for Andrei Nastase (PPDA), 12.49% for Marian Lupu (PDM), while less than 5% for other candidates.

If Maia Sandu didn’t run in elections, Igor Dodon would poll 33.74% of the vote, Andrei Nastase 21.85%, Marian Lupu 13%, while other candidates less than 5%.

If Andrei Nastase didn’t run, Igor Dodon would gain 33.40%, Maia Sandu 26.54%, Marian Lupu 12.20%, while other candidates less than 5%.

The data were gathered by Magenta Consulting, while the subsequent analysis will be carried out by the Eastern European Studies Center of Vilnius. The poll covered a representative sample of 1,102 people and has a margin of sampling error of 3%.

The poll was conducted between September 23 and October 6. The comprehensive results will be published after the analysis.
