Know candidates in your constituency! No. 44: Taraclia

Constituency No. 44: Taraclia embraces the towns of Taraclia and Tvardița and another 13 localities of Cantemir district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 44/1 to 44/32. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.

The list of candidates on the ballot is topped by the Democratic Party’s candidate Fiodor Covalji, an engineer by profession. He manages SRL “Taraclia-Gaz” and the Taraclia local organization of the PDM. He is a member of the National Political Council of the PDM. Since 2015, the candidate has served as a local councilor in Taraclia on behalf of the Democratic Party. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 773,000 lei salary revenues. The family owns a house, an apartment, a garage and a car.

The Party of Socialists’ candidate Kiril Tatarlî, an agronomist by profession, is under No. 2. He has headed Taraclia district since 2015. Kiril Tatarlî is the president of the Taraclia local organization of the PSRM and is a member of the National Council of this party. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 537,000 salary revenues and more than 114,000 lei pension and also 138,000 Russian rubles earned from other sources. Kiril Tatarlî owns two lots of land, a house, two cars and other property.  

The Shor Party’s candidate Veaceslav Lupov, an economist by profession, comes third. He manages “Depozitmol” SRL and is the Shor Party’s authorized representative in Taraclia district, being also the head of the party’s local organization in Taraclia. For the last two years, the candidate didn’t declare salaries, only €10,000 earned at his birthday party. The family’s children gained €2,400 on their birthdays. The candidate owns an apartment and four cars, one of which is worth €112,000.

Independent candidate Veaceslav Kunev, an engineer by profession, takes the fourth spot on the ballot. He manages “Slavans Grafica” SRL. According to alege2019.md, since 2004 he has taught at the Technical University of Moldova. In 2008 - 2016, he headed the National Association of ICT Companies. In 2017, he became a member of the Economic Council under the President of the Republic of Moldova. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared 373,000 lei salary and almost 2.2 million lei earned from other sources. Veaceslav Kunev possesses two plots of land, three apartments, a house, a garage and two cars.

Independent candidate Gheorghi Arikov is under No. 5. He works as a specialist in corporate security at “Moldovatransgaz”. According to alege2019.md, in 1991 - 2017, Gheorghi Arikov ran a tourism business. Since 2008, he has managed the Bulgarian community “Rodoliubets”. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 599,000 lei salary. The candidate also declared over 105,000 lei earned from other sources. He owns two lots of land, two houses and a car.
