Know candidates in your constituency! No. 21: Criuleni, Dubăsari

Constituency No. 21: Criuleni, Dubăsari consists of  Criuleni town and another 21 localities of Criuleni district and three localities of Dubăsari district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 21/1-21/39. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.

The list of candidates on the ballot is headed by the Democratic Party’s candidate Veaceslav Burlac, a manager by profession. In 2015, he was chosen district councilor and since 2017 has managed Criuleni district. The candidate is the head of the Criuleni local organization of the Democratic Party and a member of the National Political Council of this party. For the last two years, he and his wife declared 238,000 lei salary revenues and 240,000 lei earned from other sources. The family owns a piece of farmland, an apartment and a car.

The Party of Socialists’ candidate Sergiu Berzan, an engineer- forester and psycho-pedagogue by profession, is under No. 2. He is the incumbent deputy head of Dubăsari district. Earlier he worked as the manager of a company specialized in international freight transport, which he co-founded. For the last two years, Sergiu Berzan declared over 163,000 lei salary and more than 18,000 lei in child benefit. The candidate didn’t declare own property.

The Shor Party’s candidates Sergei Duminica, a culture worker, comes third. He is the director of the railway health resort in Vadul lui Vodă town. According to alege2019.md, after the local elections of 2015, he became a district councilor in Criuleni and a local councilor in Slobozia-Dușca village on behalf of the Party of Communists. In July 2018, he was named the Shor Party’s representative in Criuleni district. For the last two years, the candidate declared almost 11,000 lei salary and, together with his wife, over 93,000 lei pension. The candidate owns a wooded piece of land, seven pieces of farmland, a building plot, a part of an apartment, a house and a car.

The fourth spot on the ballot is taken by the candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM DA  PAS, current Liberal MP Lilian Carp. The candidate is a teacher of history and teaches at the university. He serves as the deputy head of the parliamentary commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and the media. He earlier managed the staff of the mayor general of Chisinau municipality. Over the last two years, the candidate and his wife earned over 621,000 lei revenues. The family owns an apartment and two cars.

Independent candidate Andrei Porubin, a physical education teacher, is under No. 5. He is currently unemployed. Earlier he worked as the head of the guard service of the Press House in Chisinau. For the last two years, he and his wife declared over 136,000 lei revenues. He owns a car.

The Liberal Party’s candidate Gheorghe Ojog, a mechanic-engineer by profession, comes sixth. He is the incumbent mayor of Corjova village of Criuleni district. For the last two years, the candidate declared over 445,000 lei salaries and over 91,000 lei pension. Gheorghe Ojog owns five pieces of land, almost 50 pieces of farmland, two building plots, a house and a car.
