After the visit paid to Chisinau, the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis went on a visit to Berlin. During this visit, the Romanian official will discuss the prospect of providing support to Moldova in its European integration efforts with German officials, Senator Viorel Badea said within a telephone call during the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
Viorel Badea formed part of the Romanian head of state’s delegation that visited Chisinau. The senator said the fact that immediately after visiting Moldova, Klaus Iohannis left for Germany is significant because the Romanian official will promote thus Moldova’s interests related to the integration into the EU.
The senator also spoke about the possibility of forming a pro-European majority coalition, saying the leaders of the three parties – the PLDM, PDM and PL – said they are for governing together in the meeting with Klaus Iohannis.
The invitee of the talk show, former MP Stefan Secareanu said society wants such a pro-European coalition and the election outcome proves this. Now everything depends on the steps that will be taken by the Liberals, especially after the Lib-Dems declared they may support Dorin Chirtoaca in the local elections.
Stefan Secareanu added the politicians must understand that the people are tired of their games and want concrete actions.
