Kindergartens in Chisinau to be supplied with hot water as of January 1

As from January 1, 2007, the kindergartens in Chisinau municipality will be supplied with hot water. The lack of hot water in kindergartens was till now the cause for which the children often got ill, Tatiana Nagnibeda, head of the municipal Education, Youth and Sports Division, stated at the City Hall’s session on Monday December 4. Interim mayor Vasile Ursu mentioned that in pre-university institutions in Chisinau hot water has not been supplied for about 7-8 years. According to him, in the future, the municipal authorities will try to supply without intermissions the preschool and pre-university institutions with hot water, even if this fact will mean giving up the renovation of a school or a kindergarten. Ursu also mentioned that the stoppage of water supply to kindergartens led to the deterioration of the aqueduct networks, all the energy structures, including “Termocom” JSC, being directly responsible for this fact. He trusts that the supplier will cooperate with the municipality to contribute together to the reestablishment of the networks. For the next year, the restoration of the deteriorated networks will be primarily included in the renovation programme, in order to manage all the kindergartens’ connection to the hot water during the coming year.
