Kindergartens in Anenii Noi transformed into fish smoke house and rehabilitation center

The kindergarten in Berezchi village of Anenii Noi district, which was closed in the 1990s, became a fish smoke house, while kindergarten No. 2 situated in Anenii Noi town was transformed into a rehabilitation center for children and persons with disabilities. Four kindergartens worked in the town earlier. Today there are only two - No.3 and No.4. According to Ecaterina Parasenko, one of the five blocks of kindergarten No. 4 was leased out to young specialists in the 1990s, when there were not enough children. “The two functional kindergartens have sufficient places for children. They are attended by 35 children from Berezchi village as the local kindergarten cannot be reconstructed. The building is old and must be demolished and there is no money for erecting a new building,” said Ecaterina Parasenko. She also said that no problems are encountered in transporting children to the two functional kindergartens. There is a minibus that crosses the village and goes to the town and a school bus. Educator of kindergarten No. 4 Maria has a different opinion. “The children must cover a long distance and the buses do not run regularly. It would be more convenient for the parents and children to have a kindergartener in Berezchi so that the children do not have to go to Anenii Noi,” she stated. Galina, an employee of kindergarten No. 3, said the parents want the kindergarten in Berezchi to be reopened, but the building is in a deplorable condition and a large sum of money is needed for its repair. According to her, there are by 12 groups in kindergartens No. 3 and No. 4, which involve about 200 children. The children from Berezchi cover about 1.5 km daily up to the kindergarten.
