A number of 77 children from Sadova village of Calarasi district will enjoy better conditions at the local kindergarten that was renovated in the framework of the “Program of technical and financial assistance provided by the Government of Romania for preschool education institutions of the Republic of Moldova”. Over 1.1 million lei was allocated to the kindergarten in Sadova from the grant provided by the Government of Romania, IPN reports.

The funds were used to repair the kindergarten’s roof, water supply and sewerage system, to modernize the wiring and ventilation system, to replace the internal doors, to revamp the inside and outside of the building and to outfit the cooking facilities with modern equipment.

Attending the inauguration event, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ionita said the people are the most important resource and education essentially contributes to enhancing this resource and to developing a country.

The diplomat noted that the improvement of the school infrastructure at all the levels contributes to strengthening the education system. This is the reason why Romania helps improve the conditions in preschool education institutions in Moldova.

The kindergarten in Sadova is one of the over 900 kindergartens renovated all over Moldova within this project for which the Romanian Government allocated €26 million.
