Kindergarten No. 160 situated in Posta Veche quarter of Chisinau, where a number of children became infected and were taken to the hospital, has been reopened this morning, December 4. Chief doctor of the Public Health Center Iurie Cojocaru has told IPN that the decision was taken after inspectors of the Center established that the kindergarten respects all the sanitary norms.
On November 15-26, 13 children attending the given kindergarten became infected with rotavirus. Six of them were admitted to the Municipal Children’s Hospital of Infectious Diseases.
The kindergarten was temporarily closed. The institution’s director and chief cook were fined 1,400 to 2,000 lei.
