The kindergarten in Cruzești village of Chisinau municipality has been renovated with the financial support of the Government of Romania. There were installed new windows and doors. The heating and ventilation systems, water supply and sewerage system and wiring were repaired. Now the institution has also cooking facilities. Until now food was carried in baskets from the eatery of the local secondary school, IPN reports.
According to the Moldova Social Investment Fund, which administers the Romanian grant intended for the repair of kindergartens, the Cruzești mayor’s office applied for funds for renovating the kindergarten in 2016.
The institution benefitted from works to the value of 1.9 million lei. The Romanian Government’s contribution was 1.5 million lei.
Currently, the kindergarten is attended by 69 children aged between three and seven. The local authorities plan to open a crèche group.
