Killer of girl found strangled in building on Dacia Blvd gets 13 years

The man who strangled a 19-year-old girl from Hancesti on the staircase of a building situated on Dacia Blvd in Chisinau several months ago was sentenced to 13 years in jail, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Prosecutor General's Office says the man, 36, strangled the girl with her scarf as a result of a quarrel. Afterward, the police found drugs at the man's place. Earlier, the press reported that the killed girl provided massage services at home. The body of the girl was discovered on the stairs on February 15. She had the scarf around her neck and was only in underwear. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
