A 65-year-old man was killed on Sunday, by blows to the head with a metal dustpan. The man was a resident of the Chitrosica Noua village, Edinet district. The police already have a suspect, co-resident with the victim, reports Info-Prim Neo. Law enforcers were alerted around 7pm by a neighbor. The woman announced the Edinet District Commissariat’s Unit Guard that the man was lying unconscious with the head full of blood. At the crime scene, the police have determined that the man had died from blows to the head with a blunt object and a bottle. Shortly after, they have identified and taken into custody their main suspect. The latter turned out to be a co-villager who was in conflict with the victim. According to the investigators, two weeks before the crime, the victim hit the suspect, and the latter sought revenge. He hit him on the head with a metal dustpan and a bottle, after which he hid in the village cemetery. The 38-year-old suspect is charged with intentional murder. The man risks up to 25 years in jail if found guilty.
