The events in Ukraine pose a danger to Romania and Moldova, MEP Monica Macovei wrote on a social networking site. The European official said the armistice signed by President Viktor Yanukovich and the Ukrainian opposition in the evening of February 19 wasn’t respected, IPN reports.

“People continue to die in Kiev for freedom. The repression on the people in the Euromaidan restarted. The people who fight for freedom and the law are being shot and beaten in these moments. The immediate resignation of President Yanukovych and early elections are the only solution for stopping the violence,” said Monica Macovei.

The number of persons killed in the violent clashes in Kiev rose to 35, according to the data provided by the Ukrainian Health Ministry at midday. The social networking sites report 50 casualties. According to eyewitnesses from the Euromaidan, snipers shoot even at doctors who take those hurt away.
