Kaluga hearse on its way to Moldova

A hearse sent to repatriate the dead bodies of six Moldovans who were killed Saturday in a minibus crash in Kaluga, Russia, is now on its way to Moldova, the Emergencies Inspectorate announced.

The bodies are expected to arrive in Moldova tomorrow morning and families will be able to pick them up from the funeral home in charge for their transportation.

Today four Moldovans that were injured in the accident were released from a local hospital and boarded on a train to Chisinau with due medical supervision. Four others remain to receive further care at a Kaluga hospital.

Eight people, including six Moldovans, were killed on Saturday after the minibus they were traveling in collided with two other vehicles on the road M3 in Kaluga Oblast. Repatriation costs are covered by the Moldovan government.
