The reforms initiated in the European states often cover particular aspects, but the justice reform initiated in Moldova is the broadest one, said the leader of the EU-funded Project to Support the Coordination of Justice Sector Reform in Moldova Eric Svanidze, IPN reports.

The official told a news conference that the strategy’s plan of action developed implementation mechanisms, while the reform entered a decisive stage. “It’s time for the reform to generate results as regards the effects and impact. Everyone should double efforts,” he said.

Eric Svanidze noted that the reforms initiated in the justice sector contain 488 different actions that are carried out according to a schedule. They include the formulation of the primary and secondary legislation and training methods, infrastructure-related changes, etc.

He also said that the justice reform represents a challenge for Moldova and the reforms must be implemented at an accelerated pace, which is very hard. He added that Moldova does not have much time available to implement the justice reform, but he is convinced that the Moldovan authorities will succeed.
