A resolution confirming the firm support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine was adopted during a joint meeting of the justice committees of the parliaments of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
The document states that the Romanian Senate confirms the support offered to the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in the European process. The Moldovan legal commission reiterated its readiness to provide support in the process of carrying out reforms in the context of EU accession.
“The institutional policy of the Romanian state is aimed at providing full support, at all levels, for facilitating the path towards European integration, in the spirit of democratic values”, the Resolution states.
At the same time, the signatory parties condemned the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and emphasized the need to hold accountable those guilty of the crime of aggression and demand compensation for the damage caused by Russia.
The joint meeting of the justice committees takes place during January 24-28.
