After winning a gold medal at the Junior Cup in Prague, judoist Cornel Andries repeated the feat at the Junior Cup in Arad, IPN reports.
Competing in the 73 kg category, Andries defeated Germany’s Alexander Neihs, Romania’s Razvan Bodea, Great Britain’s Eric Ham and bested Israel’s Oron Giner in the final.
Moldova was also represented by Mihai Doncila in the 60 kg category, where he lost to Romania’s Alin Albu in the fight for the bronze medal and finished 5th.
