A judge stands trial after being charged by the Anticorruption Prosecution Service with abuse of authority. His case has been sent to the Buiucani District Court for examination. As the Prosecutor General's Office said in a press release, the judge, while normally sitting in the Hincesti District Court, was assigned to a case in Buiucani that involved unauthorized sale of diesel fuel and had been brought by the Anticorruption Center. He is accused of putting his signature under the minutes of a court sitting which actually didn't take place. The judge is also accused of delivering a decision on this case without going through it. In particular, the judge rejected the Anticorruption Center's request to confiscate the seized fuel. The decision was later reversed by the Chisinau Court of Appeals. On the Prosecutor General's request, the judge was suspended from duty.
