The Bender Court of Appeals judge Nicolae Nogai, who is investigated for legalizing the sale of shares in Moldova Agroindbank, will be summoned to present himself at the next week’s meeting of the Supreme Council of Magistrates. The Council is to examine Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim’s application to dismiss the judge. “I asked that the case of judge Nogai be included in the agenda of the November 29 meeting. My proposal was accepted, but it was decided to postpone the examination of the issue until next week as, according to the law, the person must be obligatorily summoned by the Council, no matter whether he/she comes or not,” the minister stated for Info-Prim Neo. Nicolae Nogai’s dismissal was sought at the last meeting of the Council as well, but the matter wasn’t examined because the judge did not come to the meeting. He yet sent a challenge to the Disciplinary Board. On October 4, the Supreme Council of Magistrates lifted Nicolae Noga’s immunity at the request of the prosecutor general. The judge is to stand trial.
