Coach Juan Ferrando was discharged from Sheriff after the Tiraspol team failed to qualify for the 1/16 finals of UEFA Europa League. “I leave Sheriff as the club’s administration considers that I didn’t achieve the objective – to qualify for the 1/16 finals of Europa League,” the Spanish coach wrote on his twitter page, IPN reports.

Juan Ferrando trained the team in concert with Moldovan coach Veaceslav Rusnac. “It was an honor to train Sheriff. I left the team on the first place in maybe its best season,” he also wrote.

Juan Ferrando was born in Barcelona in 1981. He has a Bachelor of Sciences of Physical Education and Sport from the University of Barcelona.

One day after beating Tromso in Europa League, the players of Sheriff went on vacation and will resume training on January 11.
