A number of joint stock companies in which the state owns a majority shareholding were exempted from paying dividends into state budget, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the Government.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Economy Valeriu Lazar said that most of these companies are implementing large-scale investment projects and the dividends will be directed to carrying out these projects. The given companies are: the Chisinau Glass Factory, Floare Carpet, Cadastru, Moldsilva, and Tracom.
The exempt dividend payments total 24.4 million lei.
Valeriu Lazar noted that the decision does not apply to the sum of 144 million lei from the payment of dividends by joint stock companies and the deductions from state-owned companies, projected as a source of income in the budget.
