Joint Partnership Council constituted

The Government created the Joint Partnership Council, which is a high-level dialogue forum for foreign assistance coordination, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Council will promote the strategic partnership between the public authorities, foreign development partners, civil society and the private sector so as to strengthen participative democracy. Another objective is to facilitate the communication and participation of the interested parties in deciding the development agenda and monitoring the implementation of the national development documents.
The Joint Partnership Council will be co-chaired by the Prime Minister and a representative of the foreign development partners who will be chosen by consensus and will work for half a year.
The members of Moldova's Interministerial Strategic Planning Committee will be the ex officio members of the Council.
The representatives of the development partners, the heads of embassies, consulates and development agencies working in Moldova will serve on the Council on the basis of the invitation of the State Chancellery.
The Council will also include representatives of civil society and the private sector.
