The joint meeting of the Moldovan and Romanian governments in Iasi was a fail, stated Communist leader Vladimir Voronin during yet another anti-government protest in the Great National Assembly Square on Saturday, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Communist leader, the Moldovan side failed to solve any of the problems it hoped to. The issue of the €100 million promised by Romania was kept under silence. “They tried to put pressure on Moldovan leaders to consider unificationist, nationalistic, traditionally accepted issues that are on the Romanian government’s agenda. I hope they learned something from this blow”, said Voronin. At the joint meeting that took place on March 3 the parties signed eight cooperation agreements. Prime ministers Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu and Vlad Filat also signed an Action Plan to implement the Common Declaration of Establishing a Strategic Partnership between Romania and Moldova for the latter’s integration into the EU.
