A resolution on Moldova’s European integration process will be signed at the 9th Meeting of the Joint Commission for European Integration (CCIE) between the Moldovan Parliament and the Parliament of Romania, which will take place on March 28 in Chisinau. Following the event, the CCIE co-presidents Petru Frunze and Andrei Daniel Gheorghe will hold a press conference, reports IPN.
The CCIE delegation will be in Moldova during March 26-29. The agenda includes meetings with Moldovan Speaker Igor Grosu and with Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Also, the officials will attend a conference dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Bessarabia’s unification with Romania, on March 27. The Romanian parliamentarians will also visit several localities.
Also on March 27, the leadership of the Romanian Parliament is expected in Chisinau: the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Ion-Marcel Ciolacu, and the interim president of the Senate, Alina-Ștefania Gorghiu.
The Joint Commission for European Integration was established in 2010. It includes ten lawmakers from Chisinau and Bucharest. According to the regulation, the Commission meets annually in two meetings, alternately in the Republic of Moldova and in Romania.
